A Long Wait Ahead for Kingdom Hearts III & Final Fantasy VII Remake

We have some bad news for gamers’ eagerly awaiting Square Enix’s two most highly anticipated games Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy VII Remake. The development process for the two titles are nowhere near completion and may take some time…a long time. According to Tetsuya Nomura the director of both titles, “the release of the titles themselves still have a way to go. But there are many titles releasing this year…”. When specifically asked about Kingdom Hearts III, he said: “the development process is different from what we’ve done so far and there are still worlds untouched. Production is progressing on unannounced worlds, in a state that we cannot show them off… “.

We just hope that Square Enix doesn’t pull another ignominy as they did with Final Fantasy Versus XII, which was announced in 2006 for the PlayStation 3 and then changed to Final Fantasy XV in 2013. After the announcement in 2013, Final Fantasy XV didn’t hit the shelves for purchase until the end of 2016, which in total was a ten-year wait for a single title. Well to take your mind off of the extended wait for Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy VII Remake, here are some other titles from Square Enix to get excited about this year:
